Description: With photos and memories from a few years ago, I set out to achieve a detailed, realistically designed recreation of the renowned Japanese shrine, Fushimi Inari Taisha. I feel like the real place has a very culturally unique significance, I personally had a great time exploring it a few years ago. I’ve designed this environment to be experienced from a first person perspective, with the aim of allowing the player to be immersed in the same kind of atmosphere as the real place.
Review: You might notice ‘Explore Fushimi Inari’ is free in the Steam store, but for the VR option DLC you need to pay £3.99, But putting the price point to one side for a moment it has to be said if you have any interest in the Fushimi Inari Taisha shrine this is a great VR experience that looks simply incredible. If you can’t visit the real world shrine this is just as good. But that is all it is, a visual treat. It lacks sounds, it lacks educational content. Knowing all this the price tag suddenly seems a tad high. While I do still recommend it I suggest waiting for a sale as there really isn’t much content for your money.
