VR News: This news story has come from a paper written by Facebook developers about a 3D printed exoskeleton data glove which is designed to be as low-cost as possible. While there is a lot more technology to it than just the 3D printing it could be a good way for people to repair a much more professionally made product. The prototype “glove” was apparently tested with the Unity virtual model and was fully functional. My Thoughts: I think most VR fans know that a big part of VR’s future has to be some sort of “normal” hand controller and that is most probably going to be some sort of glove. While this is a very basic design it could be something for devs to play around with for a while. Does this mean we could see a finished glove controller in Oculus Connect this year? No, probably not, but it is a good sign that Facebook is moving forward with VR and not giving up like many people have said.
