Description: Command Z is an exhibition realized by Michael Ziga; an experience viewed from the perspective of our successors, reflecting back on humanity from a distant future, as we now observe our predecessors. These works imagine the development of our devices and their effects on the evolution of humanity.
Virtual sculptures in the galleries, produced using 3D scanning and digital sculpting techniques, are backed by images generated during the scanning process. 3D soundscapes – composed by Palmer Foote, Jimmy Quinn, Connor Hanwick, Olivia Harris, and Peter Toh – complement the installations, propelling the viewer through the virtual spaces.
Review: ‘Future Futures – Command Z’ is a virtual art gallery in which you get to walk around and look at various works of art. Well…that is kind of it for the good news! Even an art lover like myself wouldn’t find anything enjoyable here. It’s not even interesting art and the movement system needs way more work than you would imagine, it’s almost to the point that I didn’t want to go on with the experience anymore. Well…at least it is free I suppose so you can give it a go yourself, but in my opinion, it isn’t worth anyone’s download time.
