Review: Let’s start with the good news…I have to say ‘Amaze: Interactive VR Movies’ is a lot better and more fun than I thought it was going to be. It is a mix of 360 video, VR and mixed reality and at first, you will be blown away with it. But you soon start to realise how short these VR experiences are and the lack of “interaction” means they are just videos with some choices in them, very much like a text adventure in a book.
I just don’t think this is the best use of the design they have come up with. The idea is amazing, but the UI and implementation is kind of crappy. But do take a look at it is free (for the demos anyway, then the “full” experiences are locked behind a paywall) to at least try and you should try this once. or maybe just download the pole dancing video and leave the rest.
