Description: In Egypt’s legendary Valley of the Queens lies Queen Nefertari’s tomb, one of the modern world’s most detailed windows into ancient Egyptians’ journey towards the afterlife. Now, state-of-the-art technology has made it possible to digitally scan Nerfertari’s tomb with millimeter accuracy. For the first time ever, step inside the fabled tomb and immerse yourself in the story of its art, history, construction, and mythology through interactive elements.
Review: To fully appreciate ‘Nefertari: Journey to Eternity’ you need to understand that this is a real 3D creation of Queen Nefertari’s tomb. This is no mock-up of it, it is made with 3D scans of the real tomb and so for people who have ever wanted to visit this place, this is THE best recreation of it without actually going there yourself. While there is an educational element of this experience it is mostly about the recreation itself and the ability to wander around and get up-close and personal to all the artwork and items within the tomb. This app is impressive for sure, but the fact that it is free should be applauded a lot more. This is well worth a look, provided you have an interest in this sort of thing beforehand.
