Description: Astraeus is a VR asteroid mining RTS game that’s quick to play, easy to learn, and enormous in scope. Build a mining network from dozens of bases, and watch as hundreds of ships swarm around you in a dazzling web of light.
In the near future, dozens of companies are operating in the asteroid belt, fighting for their share of the biggest gold rush in history. Your job is to control swarms of mining drones, build a network of bases, and outpace the competition. Or crush them.
Review: Astraeus is a planetary mining strategy game from the makers of Tactera, Skylight and Darknet so you know it has a good VR pedigree. The idea of the game is simple, to mine more elements than your opponent does. While the game does have a multiplayer option it is as dead as they come so it is just the single-player modes (campaign and Skirmish) open for now. This is a deep strategy game with no clear way to win or lose, its about trial and error and that does mean the game offers a real challenge. I would personally wait for a sale as the current asking price of £11.39 does seme a bit high, but you will get your money’s worth for half that current price or less.
