Review: While at its heart ‘Hopalong: The Badlands’ is a single-player wave shooter it does have a rather unique motion system that sees you riding a virtual hobby stick horse just like you would in real life. Only without the stick between your legs obviously. The game looks OK and for a short while it is a lot of fun, but I have to question if there is enough content and indeed challenge here to justify the rather high £11.39 asking price. I think the key to getting value for money from this game is to make other people play it and that way you get the LOL’s of watching them. But on your own, you might laugh for the first 10 minutes or so, then suddenly realise it isn’t a great game at all. I do feel this is well worth a look, but I wouldn’t pay full price if you play on your own.
