Description: Maze Run is a rogue-like escape runner for VR. You find yourself trapped in a freaky basement, which is a 100’000 square feet procedurally generated maze you are offered to escape from.
Review: While on paper Maze Run VR is little more than a giant randomly generated maze it does bring a few cool things to the classic genre. The first and most interesting is the ability to break through some walls. Not all walls are breakable and it does take a long time to break through them, but you can go all out and smash your way through the maze if you wish. Then there is the ability to draw on all walls which means you can use the supplied virtual pen to draw arrows or even a map on the walls to help you escape. While there are very simple things that have been added it does make the game a lot more fun to play. While it isn’t the most exciting game I did enjoy playing it and while I still don’t think it is worth the full £3.99 asking price I would consider grabbing it in a sale.
