Description: A short, full CGI Cinematic VR experience. This is one of my R&D projects exploring HiRez, pre-rendered, linear, non-interactive, full CGI stereoscopic short content. Done in 3dsmax and rendered with VRay, at 4K per eye, equirectangular camera. In this piece, I was mainly focused on trying “drone” type, slow-moving camera motion. Also, it served as a proof-of-concept for my CG VR pipeline. Consists of 4 shots, about 2 minutes long.
Review: Ghost Ship is not some horror game, it is a beautiful rendering of a “Ghost Ship” that sails along for about 2 minutes. There is no jump-scares here, just a beautiful sailing ship and some nice scenery. There is nothing to interactive with and not much to hear neither apart from the sound of the waves crashing against the hull. Is it worth a look? I would have to say yes, its beautiful to say the least just very short in length. Also, you might get a little motion sickness from some of the passing camera shots.
