Description: Mass Exodus is a local multiplayer game developed from the ground up for the HTC Vive, Oculus Rift and PC. One VR player assumes the role of the seeker. The seeker is a large, sinister robot in control of the factory. He knows there are rogue androids amid his facility and his mission is to find and destroy them. The PC players take the role of the rogue androids. The only way to escape the seeker is to switch off the control panels located around the factory and shut the facility down. This is a pick-up and play game, that will keep you and your friends on the edge of your seats. There are 3 extensive maps each with a different theme and features. Both roles have access to creative power-ups, that if used cleverly can completely change the game advantage. Each round is always tense and never the same.
Review: I feel I need to make something clear with ‘Mass Exodus’, this is a multiplayer game only. You can play up to 5 players (4 on screens, 1 in VR) but that is the most you can go. The person playing on the screen runs around, while the other person (in VR) has to work out which is the human-robot (the other player) out of the countless robots all walking about doing their daily thing. It sounds crazy, but it works surprisingly well and I have to give credit where it is due and say it is a great use of VR. But once you get over the novelty factor there isn’t a whole lot to do here and certainly not enough to be worth the £10.99 aksing price. But if you can get a friend to play this with you do pick it up on the cheap as it is fun for the first few goes at least.
