Description: I Expect You To Die is a virtual reality puzzle game that places you in the well-polished shoes of an elite secret agent. You must attempt to survive deadly situations in immersive and dangerous locales. Complete each operation using problem-solving skills and wits… oh, and the power of telekinesis that all our agents are equipped with. Use it and whatever resources you can find to escape each situation… or die trying.
Review: The title “I Expect You To Die” always reminds me of the showdown between Goldfinger and Sean Connery’s James Bond. Bond says: ‘You expect me to talk?’ But the immortal words from Goldfinger are “No, Mr Bond, I expect you to die!” and this game takes a lot from the 007 world. It’s an espionage-themed puzzle game that sees you doing a series of small puzzles, some can be done in any order and have alternate solutions while others are sequenced checkpoints that require a collection of solutions.
With plenty of laughs and some great things to discover and find this is a fairly simple puzzle game that is over far too quickly to justify the price tag especially if you are only going to play it through once. To be fair to it, the game looks great, the controls work fantastically well and the narration is spot on. This is what VR is all about and it’s the perfect game to showcase it to a friend. Just make sure you grab it in a sale rather than paying full price.
