Description: Warpaint is a physics boardgame where you command an army of dwarves and launch catapults. Strike fear into your opponent with your customized, painted army. Victory is won through superior tactical positioning and siege dexterity. Climb the rankings and brag about your battle born brains.
Review: Warpaint shows why strategy games work well in VR. This game really shouldn’t work. It looks far too basic, is a boring turn-based strategy game and its shallower than a chess game played with only pawns. But yet…it still works, it is still oddly fun to play! While there is also a multiplayer mode in this game you are not going to come across another player online anytime soon, but at least the AI does give you a run for your money. Also, you can paint your own little characters which gives the game a much more personal feel and I really enjoyed looking down on them in the battlefield admiring my work. OK, so it’s not worth £6.99, but grab it for half that or better and you might enjoy it.
