Description: Diesel Power is inspired by classic arcade games and not designed to let the player “finish by default”. It is best described with the words: challenging and merciless. The goal is simple: Get to the end of the track. The challenge: There is no track. While trying to keep the hovercar on track, you need to find triggers to spawn the next section of the road. Don’t dawdle as foes or even the track itself will end your game early. Experts are able to collect extra points and find secrets paths to top the leaderboard. Sounds easy? Handling the controller and the looks via HMD requires motoric skills which will hindermost to get past the first corners.
Review: On paper Diesel Power might have seemed like a good idea. But in reality, this might well be one of the most frustrating games I have ever played. The idea is pretty simple, get around the track as quickly as you, but sadly for you, that track is not there yet, you need to activate that said track by looking at some orbs. So you need to drive and click on all these orbs at the same time. This leads to some angry feelings, but drive through them and you might start to see why this game can be so fun, especially if you like to beat your own score and time on racing games. Sure, its a little basic and it takes a long while to get used to, but I really did enjoy it (in the end). OK, so it’s not worth £4.79, but pick it up for a quid or so and you might be willing to stick with it as I did.
