VR News: While it might be a small estate agent “Abode Midlands” has now become the first in the UK to offer house-viewing in VR! You can do your VR viewing inside the shop if you don’t have your own VR headset, or you could get sent a link directly to your phone and view it, in VR at home! The firm is hoping this method of house viewing will save time for the customer and money to the firm having to spend time showing people around the various houses and other buildings on its books.

My Thoughts on this Story: While this isn’t a new idea it has not been seen before in the UK. I have to say I feel they are heading the right way when it comes to the future of house-viewing. While I do mostly play games with my own VR headset I am always aware that VR is capable of so much more. In the US most VR house tours are for luxury homes with amazing views for people to appreciate in VR, but I feel anyone can get a rough…”feeling” if they like the look of a home in VR and then move to a real-world viewing so I would like to see most homes have an online VR tour and maybe one day that will be the case. If it does happen you just know Abode Midlands will be holding their heads high when telling people they were the first in the UK to offer it.
