Description: A series of interactive moving paintings. Nine different pieces of simple movements and changing colors creating beautiful emergent patterns and visuals. Each piece can be manipulated by a series of sliders to control and explore these patterns.

Review: People always amaze me at the different ways they find to use virtual reality. v.art (which I can only presume is short of “Virtual Art”) is a series of interactive moving paintings that feature 9 different styles of cubes that move and change colour in the style of a beautiful emergent pattern. Using the gamepad or Oculus Touch controllers you can play around with these ever-moving patterns of cubes. From zooming in and out to changing the colours and speed of pattern.

While little more than a VR art project there is something rather peaceful about playing around with it. The cubes have good depth and you will often find yourself mesmerised by the ever changing patterns. It’s just a good job it is free otherwise it might not have been worth much. But my biggest complaint about it has to be the lack of music. If I could have played my own I might have stayed in this app for a lot longer than I did.
