Review: Right now, you are probably wondering who “David Muñoz” is. According to wiki he is a Spanish chef, who has earned three Michelin stars. After working in several restaurants in Madrid, Muñoz moved to London, where he worked in a number of Asian restaurants. So why do we have this 360 video experience about him? Well, the important part comes in 2007, Muñoz returned to Madrid, where he opened DiverXO, a restaurant serving fusion cuisine. Hence the weirdness.
The idea is you get to see the sights and sounds that inspired the Spanish chef throughout his life, a sort of trippy overview rather than a general life path. There are some mild nudity and an awful lot of weirdness, but it is mostly a non-interactive 360 video.
Beefeater XO VR is certainly food for thought, but it’s not a full meal in any respect. Much like David Muñoz’s menu, it is a small snack of weirdness that leaves your eyes confused and your brain wondering what you just consumed. But as far as 360° video goes it is not bad quality at all. I’m just happy it is free and any payment would have been unwelcome.
