Review: Cargo Cult: Shoot’n’Loot VR is a Steampunk style shooter that sees you take control of a gun and shield in order to retrieve the legendary treasure of El Dorado. You will need to shoot just about everything moving or not in order to get to the treasure. It’s your classic shooter style of gameplay, so aim, shoot then shoot some more. You start off with a massive railgun style of gun that seems to have an infinite amount of bullets, but you do have to reload now and again.
While there is only one level to play with each powerup you buy (with the coins you earn from shooting things) you will keep on getting that little bit further, all the way to the boss fights. The good news is there are some health and powerups to collect by shooting the golden ships along the way.
Yes, here we are looking at yet another VR shooter, but with its hectic gameplay and great looking Steampunk style it does stand out as one of the better ones. There isn’t much to this game at all, in fact, there is only really one continuous level so I would wait until this is in a sale for sure, maybe even a quarter of the price it currently is. As long as you don’t mind the repetitive nature of the gameplay you will enjoy this game quite a lot.
