Description: Page through a new kind of impossible comic book you can ONLY experience in 3D. Sling bullets with fistfulls of lightning spiders or discover incredible bonuses hidden between the panels, there’s more too this book than meets the eye.
From creator Bay Raitt and the Spiraloid Workshop Company comes the next step in the evolution of the graphic novel. With the help of indie game developer Dylan Fitterer (Audiosurf), the constraints of reality are lifted to present the first 3D Holographic Novel.
You start off reading a comic that seems all normal with a nice background to read it in. But once you get your first “blue frame” page then the fun really begins. Because you can then grab that page and throw it over yourself. Then once you are done, simply grab it and pull it off your head. Talk about getting your head stuck into a comic! To be fair it sounds odd but works a lot better than you would think.
There have been a few VR comic style apps released so far, but none as polished as this one. It looks great, easy to read and really makes you feel as if you are going into each frame. As with all the comic apps, I do wish it was a big name comic. But the storyline is good enough and at the end of the day, this first episode is free. Now what is not to love about that?
