Description: Gem Monster support VR mode and keyboard + mouse mode, both modes have a good experience. In the game, you fight different kinds of monsters in which are composed of gems and different colours. The only way to defeat them is to match and remove all the gems on their body. Each monster has it’s own distinctive behaviour and attack mode and you’ll need to use different upgrades and skills to contend with them. Please read the help tips carefully before fighting with monsters, which will help you to enjoy the game.
Review: The basic idea with this game is to match two colours the same. So red and red, then those two gems will disappear. Hit a green and a red and nothing will happen to either of them. So all sounds simple enough so far. But Gem Monster is so much more than a normal gem puzzle game. It sees you battling giant robots and other gem covered beings. So not only do you have to match the colours of the gems you also have to cope with the being flying all over the place meaning you will regularly have to swap locations and on top of that they will fire at you!
The good news is the controls are a look at click method so you can easily pick out the gems you want. Keeping an eye on the robot is a whole different ball game. The teleport gems seem to face you in a random direction, so you might teleport to safety, but you will be looking the wrong way once you have. But at least you have some nice powerups and upgrade mechanics to play around with and help you out.
With 10 creatures to battle (each one with 3 levels of difficulty) and the promise of even more to come in the future, this is one of those games that is perfect for passing some time. It does get a little repetitive, but then again the same can be said for every gem puzzle game ever made! I think this really brings something new to the table and while it might not be perfect, it gets my respect for trying. If you have a few hours to kill, this will keep you amused.
