Review: While I have enjoyed many of this developer’s games in the past ‘8089: The Next Action RPG’ only just gets my approval. Anyone who has played ‘5089: The Action RPG‘ will feel right at home here. It’s a low-poly action RPG style game in which you often have to upgrade your weapons and armour for each area you encounter, so there is a gameplay grind here that many might not like. My main problem with the game is that it doesn’t look much better than the original games and even the cheapest of VR indie games these days looks a lot better. Sure, you can get into this game and grind out your money’s worth, but these days I expect a little bit more polish than this game has to offer me.
